The Porta Mare office building, which will be the first A-class facility in Elbląg, has received a building permit. According to the design prepared by the Pas Projekt architectural studio, a building consisting of seven segments will be erected on the Elbląg Granary Island. The investment is carried out under the Factory Program.
The Porta Mare office building in Elbląg will offer over 6,000 sq m offices, but also areas intended for aparthotels and commercial and service spaces. It will be located at ul. Warszawska on the quay of the Elbląg River, which divides the area of the future investment from the city's old town.
The area for Porta Mare was selected by the Elbląg local government.
The Factory program is an element of the country's sustainable development strategy, which is to shorten the development distance between the largest metropolises and medium-sized and small cities, which each year record an increasing outflow of inhabitants and a slow loss of economic functions. The Industrial Development Agency, by creating the assumptions of the program - and entrusting its implementation to Operator ARP - wanted to stimulate the potential of medium-sized cities by building high-class office space. Advanced projects are also located in Włocławek and Stalowa Wola, where construction is to start in 2021.
