The Bridge has reached its peak. The skyscraper is already 174 m high!

The structure of The Bridge skyscraper, being built in the business center of Warsaw, has reached its final height of 174 m. Its builders have just completed the last technical floor. Installation and finishing works inside the facility and the assembly of the facade are in progress. The Ghelamco project is the most technologically advanced office investment in the capital - there will be a total of 47,000 sq m on 40 floors. sq m state-of-the-art office space. At the moment, it is the tallest among newly constructed buildings in Poland.

This is a unique and ambitious project also from a construction point of view, because each floor is unique - no two are identical! This is due to the building's shape, which is extremely sculpted and looks different from each side thanks to numerous breaks. In terms of architecture, The Bridge definitely stands out from other skyscrapers in Warsaw and I am convinced that it will become a valuable and recognizable element of its landscape - says Jarosław Zagórski, managing director of Ghelamco Poland.

Another distinguishing feature of The Bridge is its glass façade with characteristic razor blades, which are more or less visible at different heights and from different sides, making it dynamic - at this point it already covers 18 floors. What is also impressive is the extremely spacious and high lobby (measuring 18 m at its highest point!), which connects two worlds - an ultra-modern skyscraper with the historic Bellona building. The project fits well into the atmosphere of Wola, where contemporary architecture meets the industrial past at almost every step.

Construction works are ongoing in parallel in the former Bellona building, which will become part of the office complex. The historic hall with a colonnade and a representative staircase will be exposed and carefully renovated. There will be modern office space on the floors, and on the ground floor there will be service space with space for a restaurant or cafe. The planned completion date of construction is the first quarter of 2025.

Ultra-modern and eco-friendly The Bridge

The Bridge will have the latest technological and ecological solutions. In addition to the SmartScore and WiredScore certificates at the highest Platinum level, the skyscraper will also be certified in the WELL, BREEAM, Green Building Standard and Facility without Barriers systems.
In line with Ghelamco's ESG strategy, The Bridge is to be energy neutral and powered by 100% clean energy from, among others, from photovoltaic farms. The facility will use an ultra-energy-efficient and innovative Building Energy Management System, installed to monitor and manage the building's energy parameters. In addition, the skyscraper will implement vacuum sewage technology, which will minimize water consumption in toilets by up to 75%.

The building will also use Ghelamco's own operating system - Signal OS, which allows, among others, for sustainable water and energy management and air treatment control and monitoring. An element of the system is a mobile application that allows tenants to move around the office building without an access card or book rooms and parking spaces. The Bridge will also use special anti-pandemic solutions to prevent the spread of viruses, including: virucidal UV lamps in elevators and air handling units.

On the 40th floor of the skyscraper there will be a sky terrace for the exclusive use of the tenant. The building will be equipped with an underground parking lot with points for charging electric cars. Cyclists will have access to over 160 bicycle spaces, including 33 for electric bikes, as well as changing rooms with showers.

The Bridge was designed by the renowned Dutch architectural studio UNStudio in cooperation with the Polish-Belgian Architecture Studio PROJEKT.
